CULLMAN, Ala. – Part of the popular walking trails at Cullman’s Heritage Park are temporarily closed for grounds maintenance.

Cullman Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism (CPRST) Recreational Development Director Christy Turner said, “Heritage Park staff is in the beginning phases of underbrush clearing along with dead and fallen tree removal. Heritage Park staff are beginning a plan to clean up and clear dead brush and limbs that have fallen around the walking trails. We want to spruce up the area to enhance our users’ experience and enjoyment of the park.”

Turner said CPRST will provide updates via social media and that any immediate area being worked on will be roped off and closed to the public with fencing as well as caution tape. She said only affected trails will be closed.

“The initial estimated time is only for the next few weeks,” she said. “However, this is only an estimated time and could change due to unforeseen circumstances.”
