Baileyton Fire Chief McGee earns Advanced Level Emergency Manager designation

BAILEYTON, Ala. – Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department Chief Zachery McGee recently earned the designation of Advanced Level Emergency Manager from the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers (AAEM).

Eddie Hicks, chair of the AAEM Certification Committee, said in a media release: “The Alabama Association of Emergency Managers is pleased to announce that Zachery McGee, fire chief of the Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department, has successfully completed the rigorous educational and training requirements leading to the designation of Advanced Level Emergency Manager.

“Certification at the Advanced Level entails the completion of 700 hours of core curriculum coursework and 300 hours of option management-related training.

“By this certification, Mr. McGee has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to the emergency management profession by willingly undertaking and successfully completing an exceptionally demanding academic endeavor. Mr. McGee distinguished himself as a consummate emergency management professional and is hereby entitled to use the designation of ALEM following his name.”
