VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont High School Class of 2019 will hold its graduation ceremony Sunday, May 26 at Wallace State Community College’s Tom Drake Coliseum.

This year’s senior class of 78 graduates earned 29 scholarships totaling $249,068. Several members of the class also led the Vinemont Archery Team as it competed NASP National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky.

The class of 2019’s officers are President Ethan Dinkle, Vice President Christy Perales, Secretary John Grant Gilbreath, and Treasurer Osiel Ortiz. On May 9, the class celebrated together at its Arabian Nights Prom at the Loft 212. The Vinemont Eagle colors are red and white and this year’s seniors chose the red rose as their class flower. Trace Adkins “You’re Gonna Miss This” was selected as the class song.

Class motto: “The truth is you don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride and nothing is guaranteed.”

“Congratulations to the Vinemont High School class of 2019! This is an exceptional group of young people and we, the faculty and staff of Vinemont, are so very proud of you all! You all have achieved so much as individuals and as a class, but what you have achieved pales in comparison to our expectations for your futures. We know that you are a special group with extraordinary talents and character. Your successes have been no accident and only came through planning, hard work and perseverance. Life will not always be easy but know that you have the tools, knowledge and a community that will support your efforts. We are expecting great things from each and every one of you. Set lofty goals, say humble prayers and always be the hardest worker in the room,” said Vinemont High School Principal Robin Netherton.
