GOOD HOPE – The City of Good Hope is hosting the city’s seventh annual Back 2 School Bash on Thursday, Aug. 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Good Hope Municipal Park. Students and their families can enjoy free hot dogs and drinks, participate in a Color Fun Run, cool off on the slip-n-slide and water slides and register for door prizes. Good Hope students (grades kindergarten through six) can also get free T-shirts while they last.

Field no. 1 will be set up for children 5 and younger with a bounce house and wet slide. Field no. 2, for kids 6 and older, will have big wet slides and a slip-n-slide.

Participants in the Color Fun Run will be divided into age groups: 6 and younger will start at 5:30, ages 7-11 will start at 6, and ages 12 and older will begin at 6:30.

To register for door prizes, students should bring canned/nonperishable food items. Each can/item equals one prize entry; there is no limit to the number of entries allowed. All donated goods will go into the city's Blessing Box as needed.

Good Hope City Councilman Greg Brown said, "This is our seventh annual Back 2 School Bash. We love to have the kids a little party before school starts back.  We will have something for all ages and hope that everyone that comes out has a blast. This event is made possible by donations received from the businesses in our community. We do not charge the parents anything. When the community donates money, we plan these free events for our citizens to enjoy.  A big thank you to all of our event sponsors and volunteers for making this event possible."
