HANCEVILLE – On Thursday, June 25, the Hanceville City Council will have its regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. they will hold a public hearing on the City Animal Ordinance.

In the last meeting, the Council explained the problems the city is having with animals. They stated that there are many stray dogs and some farm animals roaming the streets of Hanceville that are becoming a nuisance.

The Council will address these issues through the public hearing and meeting. Hanceville residents are invited to give their feedback on animal control within the city limits and what should be in the new ordinance.

Speakers will have three minutes to state their opinion. The Council will take everyone’s input into consideration and then further discuss the issue.

Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail and the Hanceville City Council encourage all Hanceville’s residents to attend the hearing at Hanceville City Hall at 6:00 p.m.
