Cullman Police make multiple drug distribution arrests

CULLMAN – The Cullman Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) has made multiple distribution arrests recently, in separate incidents.

On Dec. 26, the CSU, along with members of the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force (ADETF), arrested Damien Christopher Hausler, 36, of Cullman County. He was charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for allegedly selling hydrocodone pills and marijuana. 

Hausler has since made bond. 

In a separate case, on Jan. 2, the CSU, along with members of the ADETF, arrested Diane Fay Mendez Lopez, 33, and Eric David Goodman, 49, both of Cullman County. Each was charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for allegedly selling methamphetamine. 

Lopez and Goodman have since made bond. 

In a third case, on Jan. 3, the CSU and members of the ADETF arrested Cristina Lynn Schafer, 40, and Steven Paul Harris, 39 at their residence in Vinemont. Each was charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for allegedly selling methamphetamine. 

Harris was on parole at the time of his arrest and had outstanding parole violation warrants. He remains incarcerated in the Cullman County Detention Center. 

Schafer has since made bond.
