Deaconess Kate Phillips (St. Paul’s)

St. Paul’s recently announced:

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church invites the community to join in giving thanks to God and honoring Deaconess Kate Phillips as she begins a new chapter of service in international mission work.

Deaconess Phillips has been called by the LCMS Board of International Mission to serve as a regional care coordinator based in Santiago, Dominican Republic. In this role, she will support and care for missionaries and mission personnel serving throughout the region.

Many at St. Paul’s know Deaconess Phillips through her service at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, where she taught the Upper Grades and faithfully served the students and families of the school community. While she will certainly be missed in her day-to-day role at St. Paul’s, the congregation looks forward to supporting her as she continues serving Christ and His people through this important mission work.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will have the honor of hosting her installation during the 10:30 a.m. Divine Service on Sunday, June 7. Congregation members, friends and guests are invited to attend as the church gathers in the Divine Service to give thanks for God’s guidance and ask His blessings upon Deaconess Phillips as she begins this new role.
