Joel Mansfield Buttram, III, age of 38, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him dearly.

Joel was preceded in death by his mother, Windy Elmore, whose love and memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Lexi Buttram and Brooklyn Buttram, who were the greatest joy and pride of his life. He is also survived by his father, Joel Mansfield Buttram, Jr. (Joey); his sisters, Cherie Nelson (Steven) and Jessica Myrick (Sean); his nieces, Katie, Alli, Hadley, and Sara; his nephew, Bradley; and a host of extended family and close friends, all of whom will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Joel lived life to the fullest and never turned down a good adventure. He found joy in the outdoors and loved spending time fishing, hunting, and especially arrowhead hunting—one of his greatest passions. Whether exploring the woods or sharing stories with family and friends, Joel embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit that was uniquely his own.

He will be remembered for his adventurous heart, his love for his family, and the impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his time here was far too short, his memory will live on through his daughters, his family, and all who loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
