CULLMAN, Ala. – Redeeming Grace Church will host a golf scramble fundraiser in support of its youth group on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Cross Creek Golf Course in Hanceville. The four-person scramble will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Redeeming Grace Church Youth Group, helping cover expenses for youth camp and other outreach projects throughout the year.
“Our youth group is involved in several things throughout the year, from attending summer camp to taking part in outreach projects and those opportunities come with expenses,” Reese said. “We hope this scramble gives people a fun way to come together while helping make those experiences possible for our youth.”
Registration is $300 per four-person team, or $75 per player.
Cash prizes will be awarded following the scramble, with $800 going to the first-place team and $600 to the second-place team. A $400 cash prize will also be awarded through a random drawing, giving participants another opportunity to walk away with some cash regardless of where they finish.
RGC organizers are also seeking businesses, organizations and individuals interested in supporting the fundraiser through $100 hole sponsorships. Donations and prizes for giveaways during the event are also being accepted.
“There are several ways to support the youth group even if you aren’t able to put together a team,” Reese said. “Hole sponsorships, donated prizes for on-site giveaways and other contributions all help, and we appreciate anyone willing to support what our youth are doing.”
She added, “We truly appreciate the Cullman community and what it has meant to our church throughout the years. We look forward to continuing to serve and grow alongside the best community there is.”
