CULLMAN, Ala. – Press Rewind Vintage Audio and Wilde Vintage are teaming up to create a unique experience for music lovers.

Wilde Vintage Owner JK Wilde said he and his wife Katie have been working at Finders Keepers for nearly a year selling mostly vinyl records and vintage T-shirts.

“Press Rewind Vintage Audio has been open since late January and is ran by Mr. Derrick Laythum,” Wilde said. “He has a ton of vintage audio equipment that even the snobbiest of audiophiles will drool over. He sells awesome shirts and posters featuring some of your favorite artists.

He continued, “Press Rewind Vintage Audio has a wide variety of vintage stereo equipment from some of the most reputable brands such as Pioneer, Technics and Marantz. A selection of thousands of vinyl (records) with more hitting the shelves almost every day. They also offer cleaning and maintenance services as well. A few things that really set this store apart is that we have Ultrasonic record cleaners on-site and available for everyone to use. We allow everyone to be able to spin whatever records they would like in-store. We also want to host specialized nights in the future where ‘special guests’ get to be a DJ for an hour or two.”

Wilde said Laythum made it known that while he loves music, his expertise is more rooted in the technical ins and outs of the equipment.

“He had shopped at our booth at Finders Keepers before and bought a few records from me in the past,” Wilde said. “It seemed like a no-brainer for each of us to combine our specialties together so that we can attempt to build a completely well-rounded store that everyone can enjoy. In the coming months we will be slowly moving our stuff from Finders Keepers to Derrick’s shop and expanding the space at Press Rewind, taking a hiatus from the Wilde Vintage name to fully focus on helping to make Press Rewind the best store possible.”

Press Rewind also offers a vintage video arcade game console with thousands of retro games available for everyone to use, loads of records that will be perfect to start a new collection with prices ranging from $1-$40 and a wall freshly stocked with grails and rare finds ranging from $50-$200.

“Something he offers that you won’t find at any other stores around is the ability to take records straight from the shelf and then get them spinning on a table,” Wilde said. “Take a seat. Relax and soak it all in. I hope that this is a place that all music lovers in the Cullman area will soon call home. We really want to show our community what it can look like when we collaborate instead of compete and we very much look forward to collaborating with more of the great businesses of Cullman in the future.”
