Cullman woman dies after being struck by vehicles on Hwy. 31 downtown

CULLMAN, Ala. – A Cullman woman died Thursday night, Oct. 1, after being struck by two vehicles on U.S. Highway 31.

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick identified the victim as Donna Butler, 69.

According to the Cullman Police Department, at approximately 9:21 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle collision on Second Avenue Northwest (U.S. Highway 31).

The CPD said the collision involved two vehicles and a pedestrian, whom it also identified as Butler.

Butler was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. 

The CPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.

“This remains an ongoing investigation, and these are all of the details that will be released at this time,” the department said.
