CULLMAN, Ala. – Yukon is a striking Snowshoe cat with soulful eyes and a personality that quietly wins you over. He’s The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.

Approximately 1 year old, Yukon already carries himself with the gentle confidence of a companion who knows he belongs right beside his person. The propensity to be your best friend is strong with this one.

He enjoys demonstrating his climbing skills, often exploring the heights of a cat tree with curious grace. But as much as he loves a good perch, what he truly seeks is the opportunity to come right alongside you for quality cuddling. Yukon thrives in those calm, close moments that turn a house into a home.

Since he’s already neutered and up to date on standard services provided through the shelter’s adoption program, Yukon’s adoption fee is just $35. The lower fee does not suggest his worth; it simply means he is ready and waiting for someone to choose him.

He would make an exceptional therapy or companion kitty. His affectionate nature and steady temperament make him the kind of cat who bonds deeply and brings quiet comfort to everyday life.

Said his caregiver at the shelter, “I have to say, this handsome fellow has a presence that is hard to forget. He truly is the kind of companion who makes every day feel a little warmer.”

Visit the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Contact the shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmananimalshelter@co.cullman.al.us.
