Denise Deandra Weissend, age 61, passed away in Hanceville, Alabama on February 8th, 2026. She was born in Cullman, AL on September 17, 1964, and made Cullman her lifetime home.
Denise was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister who was known for her strength, independence, strong faith, and deep love for her family. She cared fiercely for those closest to her and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Those who knew her will remember her as honest, determined, and deeply protective of the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip C. Weissend and Mary Jane Weissend.
She is survived by her children, Jacob Alexander Morrow (Heather) and Stephen Avery Morrow; her brothers, Pat Weissend (Angie) and Greg Weissend; her grandchildren, Laurel Morrow and Lennox Morrow; and her niece, Lily Weissend, and nephew, Judge Weissend.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Denise’s life from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mission Community Church – 1200 Welti Road SE, Cullman, Alabama 35055.
