Mr. Cosper passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at CRMC. He was born Nov. 12, 1955, to William Howard and Lula Mae Seckfort Cosper. He was a very talented painter and carpenter and took great pride in his work. He was an Alabama football fan and loved classic rock, especially Led Zeppelin. In his younger years he enjoyed water skiing. He loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Cosper; and the mother of his children, Kathryn Mitchell.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lindsay Schmale, Brittney Cosper (Emily King); three brothers, Tommy (Charlotte) Cosper, Frankie Cosper, Randy (Elizabeth) Cosper; sister, Linette Cosper; grandchildren, Caleb (Jacy) Schmale, Cohen Scott, Kylen King, Brodie Robertson; great-grandchildren, River Schmale, Mazie Schmale; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
