Lockhart, Barnett named October CCBOE Teacher, Staff Member of the Month

CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Schools recently congratulated Elizabeth Lockhart and Zane Barnett for being named the October Employees of the Month.  
 
Teacher of the Month: Elizabeth Lockhart, Science, Fairview High

“Ms. Lockhart goes above and beyond to provide exceptional educational experiences for everyone every day. Not only does she do this for her students, but she hosts a spooky science day at Parkside and Fairview Elementary for the entire school,” said a media release from the CCBOE. “She works diligently with her students to create engaging science experiments and stations for the schools and devotes so much time and effort to making this day an unforgettable experience for PreK-12 graders.” 

Staff Member of the Month: Zane Barnett, Maintenance, Hanceville schools

Zane Barnett handles maintenance for all Hanceville schools.  

“He is a jack of all trades at our campus,” said Daniel Wakefield, Hanceville High principal. “He not only handles all maintenance issues, but he tiles restrooms, frames new rooms for our projects, builds picnic tables and has completed multiple other projects. He helps unload buses in the mornings and helps control traffic in the afternoons. I cannot think of anybody in Cullman County that would be more deserving of this award than Zane Barnett.” 

Cullman County Schools thanked AmFirst for donating a $100 gift card to each Employee of the Month.
