2 big fall yard sales happening in September

CULLMAN, Ala. – Bargain hunters will have two opportunities this September to shop for deals and hidden treasures at two major community yard sales. The Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center Yard Sale will take place on Saturday, Sept.13, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., followed by the Sportsman Lake Park Fall Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Both events are free to attend and open to the public.

Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center Yard Sale – Sept. 13

17645 U.S. Highway 31, Cullman, AL 35058

The Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center Yard Sale will run from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.. Vendor spots are $20 each and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Sept. 2. Payment must be made in person at the ag center office between 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday. All payments are cash only.

Sportsman Lake Park Fall Yard Sale – Sept. 20

1544 Sportsman Lake Road NW, Cullman, AL 35055

The Sportsman Lake Park Fall Yard Sale will take place the following weekend on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission to the park is free, and the sale will go on rain or shine.

For those interested in renting a space, the park offers both grass sites and pavilion spaces. All reservations must be made in person.

  • Grass sites ($20 per space – first come, first served)
    • Reservation date: Sept. 2, at 7 a.m.
    • To claim a grass site, kiosk, stage or gazebo, vendors must physically pick up a flag marking their preferred location and bring it to the concession stand to complete payment
    • The concession stand can accept cash or cards
  • Pavilion spaces ($50 per pavilion – lottery system)
    • Lottery ticket sales began on Aug.23 at the concession stand for $1 per entry, with no limit on the number of entries; the more entries, the greater the chance of securing a pavilion
    • Ticket sales close on Aug. 31, and winners will be drawn live on Facebook Live on Sept. 1, around noon; winners will also receive a phone call for payment collection
