VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont Town Council held its regularly scheduled monthly meeting Tuesday, with all council members in attendance.
The meeting opened with quick action items, including approval of Resolution No. 2025-08-01, authorizing the mayor to enter into a lease agreement with Vinemont Girl Scout Troop 10288. The two-year agreement provides the Girl Scout Troop the ability to utilize the Vinemont Scout House for meetings and other troop activities, as scheduled with the Town. The council also approved the annual transportation plan for 2025–2026.
The meeting concluded with updates on upcoming events:
- The next Senior Citizens’ Day will be held at the Vinemont Community Center on Aug. 18, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- There will be an upcoming special called meeting discussing the election canvassing results at the Vinemont Town Hall on Sept. 2, at noon
- A work session is scheduled for Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. to discuss the upcoming budget
The next meeting of the Vinemont Town Council will be on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Vinemont Town Hall. The work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 6.
