Cynthia “Cindy” LeeAnne Self, age 52, of Cullman, Alabama passed away July 29, 2025. She was born on March 2, 1973, to Louise and Ronald Powell.
Cindy is survived by her husband of almost 36 years Shawn Self, sons Tyler, Austin and Ricky Self, grandson Everett Self, and siblings Kaye Cullen, Mark and Van Johnson, and Jerme Powell. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents.
Cindy was a loving and committed wife, mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchild were her whole world. Cindy found serenity in being around any body of water, wether it was looking out over a lake or watching the waves crash at the beach. Fishing was her favorite way to spend her time by the water. Cindy was honored to be an organ donor and would have been proud to know that she has contributed to saving lives. With that said, in lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Legacy of Hope in her honor.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday August 4th, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Moss Service Funeral Home’s parlor G&H. A graveside service will follow at Hamby’s Chapel Cemetery (CR-1456) at 1 p.m.
