Wiley Lee Bibb, age 74, of Prattville Alabama, passed away on Saturday July 12, 2025. His passing was quick and peaceful.
Wiley was born on October 11, 1950, to Tracey and Clezzell Bibb. During his senior year – two weeks before graduate he made the choice to serve his country and joined the Armed Forces. While in the Army he served in the Vietnam War from February 27, 1970 until January 09, 1971, when he was honorably discharged at the rank of E5. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Expert, and 2 Oversea Service Bars.
Upon his return he continued his service to others, by joining the Alabama State Troopers until he retired in 2000. During his time as a Trooper, he earned the rank of Sergeant and travelled across Alabama going where needed. His last 5 years, starting in 1995 were in Montgomery Alabama, where he was serving as Executive Security for Alabama State Supreme Court Justice Perry Hooper. He was known by the troopers for his unrelenting ability to make everyone laugh, his integrity, and his ability to treat each person he encountered with respect and kindness.
During his time as a trooper, he married Donna Walton and they had one daughter, Carime Bibb.
He is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Carime, and chosen son Justin Dobie. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Doris Arnold, Mary Sue Rogers, JoAnn Walton, Wayne Bibb (Betty), sister-in-law Caroline Bibb (Glenn) and his plethora of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Shirley Aderhold, brother Glenn Bibb his parents Tracey O. Bibb and Clezzell Terry.
A celebration of life visitation for Wiley will be held Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Ave North West, Cullman, AL 35055.
