It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Ray Roberts, age 83, of Cullman, Alabama. The Lord our God called him home on September 18, 2026, at 7:38 p.m.
Ray was born on March 2, 1943. He was a devoted and faithful member of Mission Grove Baptist Church. He worked at Cullman Products for 40 years before retiring. His coworkers nicknamed him “Radio”, although the reason remains a mystery to his family. Ray loved building houses, fishing, gardening, and he LOVED to talk about God and politics. He was also an active member of the RNC.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Millie Roberts, and his parents, Luther and Vivian Roberts.
Ray is survived by his children, Regina Hailes (Lee), Lynn Hood (Billy), and Darrell Roberts (Joanne); his grandchildren, Nathan, Daniel, Kaylee, Shailyn, Nicholas, Jeff, Corey, and Blake; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, J.D. Roberts and Wayne Roberts (Shirley), and his sisters, Geraldine Baker (Milford), and Rhonda White (Gary).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on October 11, 2026, at Mission Grove Baptist Church on Shafer Road in Cullman, Alabama. Family and friends are invited to attend, share memories, and join us in honoring and celebrating the life of Ray Roberts.
