Mrs. Moctezuma was born April 21, 1977, in Cullman, Alabama to James & Clara Pennington. She passed away July 13, 2026, in Cullman, Alabama.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Moctezuma, a beloved mother, grandmother, family member, and friend whose love, laughter, and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.

Judy was truly one of a kind. She never met a stranger and had an incredible gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether it was a quick conversation or a long visit, she could talk for hours, sharing stories, laughter, and genuine care with anyone lucky enough to spend time with her.

She had a heart as big as the ocean she loved so much. Beach trips brought her peace and happiness, and some of her most cherished memories were made with family by the water. Judy also loved shopping, listening to her favorite Alan Jackson songs, and never turned down something sweet—her legendary sweet tooth was just one of the many things that made her unforgettable.

Judy was known for being stubborn in the most lovable way, full of laughter, and always ready to brighten someone’s day. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she loved everyone unconditionally.

Above all else, Judy’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother and an adoring grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love, guidance, and support will remain in their hearts forever.

Mrs. Moctezuma is survived by her husband, Antonio Trejo; children, Kimberly Dessends, Reyna Moctezuma (Kevin Lobato), Alyssa Trejo, Alejandro Moctezuma, Carmen Trejo; grandchildren, Ariella, Nolan, Nalah, Noel, Mayra, Xander, Zayda; siblings, Loretta Moctezuma (Raul), Carol McCurry, Mary Crosby, Martha Pennington; mother, Clara Pennington; sisters-in-law, Irais Trejo, Amy Moctezuma (Leo), Aldolfo Vargas, and a host of nieces and nephews.
