Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick on Tuesday night identified the decedents as father and daughter Carthel Morgan, 63, and Felicia Morgan, 37, both of Colony. He said the cause of death was methamphetamine overdose. The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office earlier Tuesday said there was no evidence of foul play. No further information has been released.

COLONY, Ala. – The Cullman County Coroner’s Office and Cullman County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the deaths of two individuals in Colony.
Authorities said two people were found deceased in a van on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 7 a.m. at a residence in Colony.
The CCSO said in a statement, “The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting the Cullman County Coroner’s Office in an active death investigation in the Colony community. At approximately 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, two individuals were found deceased inside a van at a residence in Colony. At this time, there is no evidence of foul play. The incident appears to be isolated, and there is no danger to the public.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
