FALKVILLE, Ala. – The Town of Falkville and Community Pride will host their 27th annual Christmas in the Park event on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 4 p.m.
Town of Falkville Marketing Coordinator Brooke Jones said they invite everyone to gather for one of the most cherished events of the year.
“This magical evening is hosted by Community Pride, a dedicated group of local women who pour their hearts into celebrating and supporting the Falkville community,” Jones said. “The ladies of Community Pride will once again be serving up delicious, sweet snacks and hot chocolate for all to enjoy.”
Jones shared that each year, the Town selects two deserving organizations or residents to receive the “Make a Difference Award,” recognizing those who have positively impacted Falkville through their dedication and service.
“Activities will start ahead of the main event, with Santa arriving at 3 p.m. for photos,” Jones said. “Children will also have the chance to write letters to Santa, create their own Christmas ornaments and enjoy a special reading about the history of the Christmas tree.”
The park will feature a lit and inviting Christmas tree and the sparkling Tinsel Trail as the sun sets at Jack McCaig Park, Jones shared.
“Entertainment for the evening includes Christmas carols performed by David Halbrooks and festive music from the Falkville High School Band,” Jones said. “This celebration truly makes Falkville feel like a scene from a Hallmark movie. Seeing families together, children playing, neighbors talking and everyone taking a break from the busyness of life to support the community is what makes this event so special. Come out, make memories and help us celebrate the magic of the season in Falkville.”
Jack McCaig Park is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West Second Street in Falkville.
