CULLMAN, Ala. – Luna, a 7-month-old domestic shorthair tuxedo cat, is The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.

Sociable and affectionate, Luna enjoys the company of both people and other cats.

She greets her caretakers with a delicate meow, especially around feeding time, and delights in exploring every nook and cranny of her surroundings. With her calm nature and friendly demeanor, Luna is an ideal candidate for a therapy, companion or reading cat.

Since Luna arrived at the shelter already spayed, her adoption fee has been reduced to just $35. A small price for a cat with such a big heart! It covers vaccines, microchip, wormer and a general vet exam. Shelter staff noted her reduced fee is not reflective of her worth, but rather a gesture to help her find a loving home more quickly.

If you’re interested in adopting Luna or meeting other pets in need of forever homes, visit the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
