CULLMAN, Ala. – Local nonprofit Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation will host the Beautifully Brave Pageant on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the Burrow Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the campus of Wallace State Community College.
Event Coordinator Rayven Peak said the group created the pageant to raise money for CCBBF.
“I got the idea because my daughter and I both compete in pageants and love doing them,” Peak said. “We have met so many amazing people while doing them.”
Peak said her favorite thing about these events is getting to meet all the beautiful young women and children and watching them play dress up.
“Our major fundraiser for the year is ‘The Little Pink Dress,’ but we needed another large fundraiser to be able to continue helping the volume of patients we are assisting financially,” Peak said. “We can’t do this without the amazing people in Cullman, so thank you from all of us at CCBBF.”
To register for the Beautifully Brave Pageant, visit www.cullmanbosombuddies.com. Cancer survivors are encouraged to register for the free Survivor category. Men, women and children are welcome to participate.

From the CCBBF website:
“Established in 2013, the mission of the Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization, is to raise money for the purpose of assisting Cullman area residents while they are in a cancer treatment program. We provide need based assistance for day to day living expenses such as utility bills, transportation costs to and from treatment, food cards and other approved needs. We pay the bills directly, no cash is given. This assistance is for approved patients regardless of the type of cancer they may have or the location of their treatment center.
“The Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation meets a need that no other organization is meeting, and all money raised through our fundraising events and private donations stays right here in Cullman County.”
