Showers and thunderstorms will continue this morning south of a frontal boundary along I-59.  Across south Alabama or south of a Livingston – Montgomery – Auburn line, a couple of storms may produce wind gusts from 40-60 mph from late morning into early afternoon.   Storm intensification is expected with afternoon heating, with very heavy rainfall and a few damaging wind gusts/hail possible from mid-afternoon into the evening hours.

From a Livingston – Montgomery – Auburn line northward to I-59, scattered thunderstorms could redevelop this afternoon with a couple of wind gusts from 40-60 mph possible.

A couple more rounds of storms will move across the state between 11 p.m. tonight and 11 a.m. Monday. A few wind gusts from 40-60 mph are possible, but widespread severe weather will not occur.

One final and more potent round will enter northern Alabama Monday afternoon and continue southward into the late evening hours.  This system has the potential to produce areas of wind damage and hail.
