Funeral services for Gladys Grimmett-Parker, 82, of Hanceville, Alabama will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 11th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Scott Guthery will be officiating services. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday at Hanceville Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Mrs. Parker was born on October 5, 1932 to the late Fred and Ida Yates-Parker in Cullman County, Alabama. She passed away on March 7, 2025 at Hanceville Nursing Home.
Survivors include her children, Janice (Daryl) Allred, Paulette (Jeff) McCormick, Deborah Widner, and Michelle (Jimmy) Thomas; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Leldon (Nelda) Grimmett; sister, Sondra (Bill) Lee; and a host of many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Parker; son, Steve Parker; siblings, Pauline Blalock and Marie Dunn, Marie Dunn, Fred Grimmett Jr., Clellan Earl Grimmett, and Inez Kelley; and grandsons, Bobby Allred and Chuck Allred.
Mrs. Parker’s grandsons will have the honor of serving as her pallbearers.
