CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Regional Foundation Board of Trustees on Thursday, June 8, 2023, donated $275,000 to the hospital for the purchase of 12 critical care beds as part of Cullman Regional’s current expansion project. The expansion is expected to be completed by October of this year.

“We are thankful for the many donors and community partners who have contributed for the specific purpose of helping patients in our community,” said Cullman Regional Foundation Board President Emily Johnston. “We are pleased to announce that after two years of hosting events, the funds have been released to move forward.”

In April, the Foundation hosted its annual gala, which raised over $100,000; those funds are earmarked for patient oncology, according to Foundation Executive Director Maria Stanford.

The Foundation conducts fundraising efforts for a variety of special needs and projects at Cullman Regional. Its next fundraiser will be the Million Dollar Hole-in-One Golf Extravaganza, which will take place at Terri Pines on Sept. 11.

The Foundation is a nonprofit organization, separate from Cullman Regional, that seeks to assist, advance and strengthen Cullman Regional in its mission of providing excellent health care, health education and other humanitarian endeavors.
