FAIRVIEW, Ala. – Fairview Town Council came to order on Monday evening to discuss the dug outs at the local ball fields and approve the minutes from the town’s previous council meeting. The council members also discussed the recent vandalism taking place in the bathrooms at the community park.

The council approved minutes from their October meeting, including installing an air conditioning unit at the senior center, the approval of the unchanged budget and the raise of hourly pay for clerks to $17.00 per hour.

Prices for the replacements for the bathrooms at the community park were discussed and set. These will be replaced due to recent vandalism, and the shared desire for updated facilities, with the budget being set at $3,300 for the repair.

The motion was then made to redo all community park dugouts in brick. With three fields, two dugouts for each will be redone, with the budget set at $25,000 when the motion passed.

The final motion to pay the bills for the month was made, and the meeting reached adjournment.

Fairview City Council meets the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Fairview Town Hall. The public is invited to attend.
