GOOD HOPE, Ala. – Get your hula skirts ready! The City of Good Hope will host an Aloha-themed Back to School Bash this year for Good Hope area students. The luau is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Good Hope Municipal Park.

Inflatables will be available for the kids including some with water features. The town will provide a free luau-style dinner, back-to-school pics, door prizes and much more. Free luau T-shirts will also be given to students while supplies last. “If you’re lucky, you might see Corey Harbison in his hula skirt!”  Mayor Jerry Bartlett said.

The Sizzlin’ Seniors of Good Hope’s fundraiser, “You’ve been flocked!!” continues to be a huge success. Money raised from the flamingo-themed fundraiser will help to fund the senior centers various activities. Good Hope Clerk Christie Chamblee reported that “flockings” are scheduled throughout August.
