Wendy Prince- Holly Pond High School
HOLLY POND, Ala. – Wendy Prince is a 2021 graduate of Holly Pond High School and will be joining the United States Marine Corps. She became interested in joining the military when she was just 12 years old.
Prince said of her decision to join the Marines, “I became interested in joining the military because I saw myself doing more. People wanted me to be something different, but my interest grew further after experiencing a difficult situation in my life. The experience showed me who I can be. I chose the Marines because I saw that I could build character and make a change in myself that I wanted to see.”
Prince has been busy this summer participating in physical training workouts with other Marine recruits. She will leave for boot camp Sept. 27. Her occupation is Motor Transportation.
