CULLMAN, Ala. –  According to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), Cullman County added 55 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, with 4,044 cases confirmed across the county since the beginning of the pandemic. Of those, 1,247 were confirmed in just the last 14 days. Statewide, the ADPH reported 2,656 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, with 48,432 in the last 14 days.

The ADPH also reported 2,161 patients currently hospitalized across the state.

*Important Notice (12/12/20): The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) processed a backlog of 398 positive antigen results from a facility on December 11. These will be classified as probable COVID-19 cases reported on 12/12/20 even though the tests were performed during July 7 through December 9, 2020. For information regarding daily numbers and the 7-day moving average of cases by infectious date, see Tab 7A. Information on Tab 7A visualizes cases by date of infection rather than date reported. All laboratories are required by law to report all results (including positive and negative tests) for SARS-CoV-2 to ADPH. Delays in reporting by required reporters is not within control of ADPH.
