GOOD HOPE, Ala. – A Good Hope man was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia Thursday.

Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Community Response Team (CRT) deputies arrested Graf Edward Reid, 40, after allegedly discovering 1.5 ounces of meth in his home and vehicle. The CCSO said the drugs were found while conducting a welfare check for another law enforcement agency.

“Meth is a drug that affects a lot of families,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I am glad we were able to seize the amount meth before the suspect was able to use it and harm himself or it was distributed into the community.”

Reid is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1.5 million property bond.
