CULLMAN, Ala. – On Saturday, June 20, Victim Services of Cullman will host the “Ride for Justice” to promote crime victims’ rights awareness. Riders will meet at Hawg Engineering, 230 U.S. Highway 278 in Cullman at 9 a.m.; kickstands up at 11 a.m. The ride will end at Daystar Church, where riders will be treated to refreshments.

Anyone who pre-registers by Saturday, June 13 will get a swag bag, including a Ride for Justice T-shirt. The event is free.

Victim Services Executive Director Carol Horstman told The Tribune, “Earlier this year, Victim Services was awarded a grant from the Office for Victims of Crime for the purpose of conducting an event for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week April 19-25.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event had to be postponed until June 20.

“Victim Services’ Ride for Justice will raise awareness about victims’ rights and express our gratitude and appreciation for those community members, victim service providers and criminal justice professionals who are committed to improving our response to all victims of crime and ensure they find support, justice and peace.”
