Pastor Scott Sessions announces candidacy for Cullman City School Board

Sessions today announced he will be seeking Place 3.


CULLMAN, Ala. – Scott Sessions, pastor of Cullman First Church of the Nazarene, on Friday announced his candidacy for the Cullman City School Board. All seats on the board are up for re-election in the Aug. 25, 2020 municipal election.

Sessions released the following statement:

It’s been a year of ups and downs. For local leaders, there have been unprecedented challenges.

Yet the Cullman City School Board elections are still on. Scott Sessions is running for a board seat with the intent of bringing honesty, transparency, and integrity to the seat.

He has served for over 20 years in ministry with the Nazarene churches in Alabama. He also has experience with a profitable small business.

Scott brings with him additional experience as a committee member for the Nazarene churches in Alabama. He’s worked on District Finance, Youth, and Global committees for these churches.

Born and raised in Alabama, Scott’s true passion is to serve God and his community. He is proudly married to his best friend Amy.

He wants to put students and student athletes first in his role as a board member. Scott has experience leading several churches to record growth and financial stability. He will put financial sustainability at the forefront of the discussion.

Scott’s exemplary people skills and commitment to serving his community make him an excellent candidate. His leadership qualities are based in a love for God and experience helping communities grow together.

Together, Scott believes we can bring security and safety to our student experience.
