Victim in shooting on SE side of Cullman identified

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has identified the victim as Miles Timothy Dunkin, 56, of Cullman. The injured party, the victim’s wife, has now been discharged from the hospital.

The Tribune is awaiting further details from the CPD.


CULLMAN, Ala. – One person is dead and one injured following a shooting at a home on Kim Lane Southeast in the city of Cullman in the overnight hours before Easter morning.

Cullman Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said his department received the call around midnight.

“When officers arrived, they found one person dead and one injured. The injured person was transported by helicopter to UAB Hospital. When the coroner has notified families, names will be released. As the investigation progresses, more information will be released.”
