GOOD HOPE, Ala. – The City of Good Hope is busy preparing for two fun Halloween events that will be held at Good Hope City Hall. The first will be the Sizzlin’ Seniors Halloween Bash, planned for Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. On Halloween, from 3-5 p.m., it will be the kids’ turn to come out for a spooky good time.

The senior Halloween party will feature activities, games and a hot lunch. Don’t forget your costumes, as there will be a contest. The best-dressed senior will win a free ticket to one of the upcoming senior mystery trips. Lunch will be served at 11:30.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, families can come by for candy and fun. Mayor Jerry Bartlett and city council members and staff will be handing out candy and will have a spooky room set up in the basement for the kids.

They will also have a fun Halloween backdrop for pictures, and each child will be entered into a costume contest. The winners will be chosen the next day with the grand prize winner receiving a $50 gift card. Second- and third-place winners will each take home $25 gift cards.

Both events will be held rain or shine.
