CULLMAN, Ala. – The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) on Friday released its 2018-2019 Alabama State Report Card, its report card for public schools statewide. Cullman County Schools continued a rapid rise in scores, increasing five points over 2018 and 10 points over 2017 to reach a letter grade of “A” for the first time with a score of 90. Cullman City Schools, after a one point drop last year, rose two points to a new high score of 93.

The report card grades are based on:

  • Academic Achievement – 20 percent
  • Academic Growth – 25 percent
  • Graduation Rates – 30 percent
  • College and Career Ready Data – 10 percent
  • Chronic Absenteeism – 10 percent
  • Enrollment by Student Subgroup – 5 percent

Overall scores and breakdowns for certain categories for the city and county systems and each public school are presented below.
