CULLMAN – A two-car collision ending at the intersection of Highways 157 and 31 left one vehicle flipped and all three people involved with minor scratches but no major injuries.

The two vehicles involved were a silver Honda Accord and a white Ford Explorer. There was a single driver in the Honda and two subjects in the Ford.

“What we can gather is that the driver (of the Honda) fell asleep, hit the median (east-bound on Highway 157) and when he came out of it and off the median he struck the (Ford) and it overturned starting back on 157 and ended up where it’s at now,” said Cullman Police Officer Jason Mickle.

The Ford Explorer flipped roughly one-sixth of a mile and came to rest on its side at the intersection of the two highways.
