CCSO makes multiple arrests

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) made multiple arrests countywide Thursday through Sunday.   

Thursday, July 28 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Good Hope area. 

Randy Isaiah McCleod, 31, of Hanceville, was the driver of the vehicle in question.  

He was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. McCleod also had an outstanding warrant. 

McCleod was arrested and charged with probation revocation- unlawful possession of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Dodge City area.  

Anthony Allen Whatley, 32, of Cullman, was identified as the driver.  

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly yielded narcotics and paraphernalia.  

Whatley was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.   

Friday, July 29 

Deputies arrested Felicia Dawn Benefield, 33, of Guntersville, on an outstanding warrant.  

The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred earlier this year. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Deputies arrested Dustin Gene Black, 32, of Decatur, on outstanding warrants.  

The warrants were from an incident that occurred earlier this year. Black was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of heroin and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Deputies responded to a call in the Phelan area regarding a vehicle parked in someone’s yard.  

Richard Alexander Lucas, 33, of Cullman, was located inside the vehicle in question.  

A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded narcotics and paraphernalia.  

Lucas was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.  

Sunday, July 31 

Deputies encountered two individuals while at a business in the city of Cullman.  

Natasha Nicole Hendrix, 26, of Vinemont, approached deputies to voice concerns about Jacob Neal Auston, 28, of Vinemont, who was also present.  

A subsequent search of their persons and vehicle allegedly yielded both narcotics and paraphernalia. Both were placed under arrest. 

Hendrix was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, while Auston was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and domestic violence- harassment.
