CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City School Board held a special-called meeting on July 30, approving the contract for Lacey K. H. Wood. Wood will serve as a teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing. Her contract runs from Aug. 3, 2026-July 31, 2027.
The Board approved a service agreement with BrightSigns Interpreting LLC for interpreting services.
It also approved a School Resource Officer Memorandum of Understanding for Aug. 1, 2026-July 31, 2027. The MoU is a formal legal agreement that defines duties, expectations and operational roles for officers of school campuses.
The Board awarded a bid in the amount of $279,600 to Manning Construction for the Cullman Middle School parking lot.
Board Member Mark Britton, before the meeting adjourned, addressed the Board regarding Superintendent Kyle Kallhoff’s contract. The topic was not discussed further.
The next board meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. at the Cullman City Board of Education at 301 First St. NE.
