CULLMAN, Ala. – With the start of the 2026-2027 school year just around the corner, Cullman County Schools is preparing to welcome students back to the classroom. To help families get ready, here’s a quick guide to some of the most important back-to-school information, including Open House schedules, first-day attendance, meals and additional resources.
Most Cullman County high schools will host Open House on Monday, Aug. 10, from 3-6 p.m., in line with the district’s published schedule. However, several elementary and middle schools have adjusted schedules for orientations and Open House events. Those times are listed below.
Students will return to class using the district’s staggered start schedule. On Tuesday, Aug. 11, only students whose last names begin with A-K will attend. Students whose last names begin with L-Z will attend on Wednesday, Aug. 12, with all students reporting on Thursday, Aug. 13.
Additionally, Cullman County Schools will once again provide free breakfast and lunch to all students throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
