CULLMAN, Ala. – North Central Neurology Associates, in partnership with the Joanne P. LaGanke MS Center and MS Views and News, will host the 2026 Move Over MS Walk on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m.-noon, on the Olive Street side of Heritage Park in Cullman. The free event will raise awareness and support for individuals and families affected by multiple sclerosis.
“This walk is more than just an event, it is an opportunity for our community to come together in support of friends, family members, neighbors and patients whose lives have been impacted by multiple sclerosis,” said Debbie Simonsen, office manager for North Central Neurology Associates. “We are proud to partner with MS Views and News to raise awareness, provide resources and offer hope to those living with MS.”
In addition to the walk, the event will feature live entertainment from The Overtones and free food, including biscuits, fruit, coffee and doughnuts. Representatives from pharmaceutical companies will also be on site with giveaways and information.
Families are encouraged to attend, with a Halloween costume contest planned for children and prizes awarded to winners. Candy will also be available for all throughout the event.
A raffle will be held to help support the event, with tickets available for $5 each or five for $20. Tickets can be purchased in advance at North Central Neurology Associates or on the day of the walk. T-shirts and hats are also being sold.
Organizers are continuing to seek raffle prize donations, as well as donations of mums and pumpkins to decorate for the event. Anyone interested in volunteering or donating items can contact Simonsen at dsimonsen@prn-inc.net.
“Cullman has always been a community that comes together when people need support, and we hope this event will be another example of that spirit,” Simonsen said. “Every share, post and mention helps us spread awareness and encourages others to join us in making a difference.”
