CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman Restaurant Week made its debut on Sept. 10, kicking off with Culinary in Cullman at The Venue at Cotton Creek, which allowed attendees to taste the best of Cullman’s diverse culinary offerings. Participating restaurants, community leaders and residents came together to sample a range of coffee, wine, steak, pizza, wings and more.
Cullman County Tourism Bureau Executive Director Harmony Heard was seen among the crowd, donning one of Visit Cullman’s Restaurant Week aprons.
She expressed gratitude and excitement seeing the event finally happen after so much preparation.
Restaurant Week will continue through Monday, Sept. 21. Participating restaurants will have special discounts and limited-time items.
One participating business is Karma’s Coffee House, which is featuring a sandwich called “The Fat Elvis.” It’s peanut butter, banana and bacon on toasted sourdough.
Organizers stated, “It’s the perfect combination of salty, sweet, crunchy and creamy.”
The Fat Elvis can be paired with a beverage from Karma’s fall menu. The Bonfire Nights latte contains espresso, yin, praline and toasted marshmallow cold foam. The sweet marshmallow of espresso, with the salty bacon and creamy banana on The Fat Elvis makes for a balanced, enjoyable combination.
