CULLMAN, Ala. – With soulful eyes, unusual coloring and a heart set on companionship, Olive, affectionately known as “Squirrel,” is easy to love. The approximately 3-month-old tabby kitten is The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.
Olive’s shelter résumé is short but persuasive. She has a playful and loving personality and a preference for staying close to someone.
Her nickname suits her well. Olive’s distinctive coat coloring bears an unusual resemblance to that of a squirrel or rabbit, giving the tiny, compact kitten a look all her own.
More than anything, Olive cherishes company. When meal time rolls around, she climbs onto the footstool near her dinner and patiently waits to be picked up.
Unassuming and affectionate, Olive demonstrates the qualities desired in a therapy, companion or reading kitty. Her gentle nature could make her a comforting presence for someone seeking a devoted feline friend.
“I love this tiny, compact girl!” a shelter representative said.
Olive’s $100 adoption fee includes her spay, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccine, microchip, deworming and general exam.
