Funeral Service for Kathy Lauren Kirby, age 64 of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Welcome Baptist Church with Seth Hesterly officiating; burial at Welcome Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Welcome Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kirby passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Cullman Regional. She was born, April 5, 1962, to Daniel H. Henry and Paula Waldrep Henry.
Kathy proudly served in the United States Army as a young woman, beginning a lifetime of service that continued through more than 25 years as a defense contractor. She was a faithful member of Welcome Baptist Church and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Those who knew Kathy knew the things that brought her joy. Classic rock, played loud. Dogs; there was rarely a time her home was without one. Cheering for Auburn, especially in a family full of Alabama fans. An avid reader who was never far from a good book. She enjoyed sharing those interests with family and friends and was always ready for a good conversation about the things she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, her son, Jeremy Wayne Kirby and grandson, Evan Dennis Crow.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Kirby; daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Crow (Adam) and Shannon Nicole Clore (Joe); son, Zach Lee Kirby (Julianna); grandchildren, Tyler Adam Crow, James Roy Clore, Ainsley Mae Kirby, Sienna Reese Clore; mother, Paula Waldrep Henry; sister, Susan Pauline Henry; brother, Daniel B. Henry.
