Funeral service for Clara Jean Buckelew, age 95, of the Gold Ridge community, is Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Bro. Jason Vinson will be officiating the service, Terry Bentley will be delivering the eulogy, and Bill Golden, son-in-law, will present a family memoir in honor of Jean. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Eva, AL. Chaplain Heath Riggs will be officiating at graveside.

Jean was born to Ed Crawford Oden and Bernice Ford Oden on November 16, 1930, in Oden Ridge, Alabama. She passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buford W. Buckelew; three grandchildren, Kristi, Matthew, and Jessica Caudle; sons-in-law, Greg Fullilove and Sammy Caudle.
She is survived by her children, Carl Buckelew (Theresa), Brenda Caudle, Gaylon Buckelew (Sherri), Pam Golden (Bill), Jan Sexton (Tim), and Brian Buckelew; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; her siblings, Delane Oden, Sue Blair, Jimmy Oden (Glenda), and Aline Ingram; a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
