Mrs. Roy Bogardens and children of Jasper are the guest of her mother-in-law, Mrs. J. B. Bogardens.
Mrs. Vena Young and daughter Eula have returned to her home in Texas, after a months visit to her father Mr. Keith.
Mr. and Mrs. John Crumley and children spent Saturday and Sunday with his father Mr. A. W. Crumley.
A number of young people attended the singing at Garden City Sunday.
Mrs. and Mrs. Alex Gamble and baby spent Sunday with Bill Parson and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Kennith Gamble and little Mildred spent Sunday with her mother Mrs. A. W. Crumley.
The singing at Mr. Crumley was well attended Saturday night and reported a nice time.
News From Hanceville Star Route
Some of the farmers are getting on very nicely with their crops on this route.
Last Sunday was communion day at “Leadochia,” a church near here.
Miss Byrd Cantrell spent Sunday afternoon and Sunday night with her chum, Miss Katie McHan. They, also were the guests of Mrs. Helms and her daughter, Birdie Helms, Sunday afternoon.
Henry Carsonsen was the welcome guest of friends Sunday.
Miss Eva Self, of Bradford mines, is the guest of her brother, and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Self.
Dr. Edgar Collins, who has been the physician of Stouts Mountain for several years, has resigned on account of his father of Warrior, being very ill. We regret this very much indeed, but think we shall be as well pleased with Dr. Lovett, who is now the physician of that place.
Mrs. A. Cantrell was the guest of Mrs. J. W. Hanes for dinner Sunday.
The Star Route from Hanceville is on a “boom.” Let some one from the other routes write, if they are not too busy. We like to hear the news.

Mrs. Dr. Carl Hartung and children will return to Crawford, Tenn., Sunday. Dr. Hartung bought the beautiful lot south of Dr. Bledsoe’s residence and will one day make his home in Cullman.
Trustees Meeting.
The regular meeting of the Trustees of the I. O. O. F. Home was held in Cullman last week. Grand-master Walter McAdory, of Birmingham, and the new member W. E. Urquhart of Florala, was present. Besides these, Messrs. Cramton, Lee, Buell and Ellis were present. The accounts of the year were audited and approved, and Mr. and Mrs. Miller were highly complimented on their work.
A Very Big Birthday.
Mr. John H. Kesler, a prosperous east-side farmer, celebrated his fifty-sixth birthday last Sunday. There were thirty guests from Birmingham and about one hundred and fifty from among their friends here. A string band of Birmingham, was up and the big crowd was well entertained, with refreshments and music. Congratulations are in order.
Annual Singing.
The Fourth Sunday in June there will be the annual singing at Ebenezer Church, north-west of Cullman, by Prof. D. W. Hamner and others. Everybody invited.
