Mike will always be remembered as a man who loved to serve the Lord through bible studies and through prison ministries. He deeply loved his family and friends and was proud to serve his country. He was a loving husband, father and “Bapa” to those who loved him most. He was a man of bravery, wisdom, dignity and gratitude. He proudly and courageously served his country in the United States Army – sitting on the edge of a Huey helicopter as a door gunner in the Republic of Vietnam. After he served in the military, he built a career building homes in Tupelo, MS and in Birmingham, AL. He always enjoyed working outside and with his hands. Riding his Harley alongside his wife, Susan, brought him much happiness and they enjoyed many trips together from the East to West coast. But what thrilled Mike the most was keeping his granddaughter Sophie in her younger years and being there to watch her grow up. They developed such a close and special relationship and her “Bapa” gets a lot of credit for shaping her into who she is today. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
