Bertha Mae Waldrep, 96, of Crane Hill, Alabama, passed away on May 10, 2026. Born February 20, 1930, in Etowah, Alabama, Bertha Mae’s life reflected quiet strength, steady devotion, and a deep appreciation for home and family—gifts that will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Bertha Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Lawton R Waldrep; her son, Horace Waldrep; her son-in-law, Douglas Hunt; her parents, Albert Henry and Virdie Bryant Jackson; her brothers, Almus Jackson, AB Jackson and Talmus Jackson; and her sister, Bertie Lou Morton. A special thank you to Joe and Delia Mauldin and there sons for loving and raising Bertha from three years of age.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hunt; her sons, Michael Waldrep(Jayne) & Robert Waldrep(Donna); her grandchildren, Amanda Maxwell(Daniel), Jennifer Flores(Romero), Karen Parker(Brian),Jacob Waldrep(Sarah) and Anna Cornelius(DJ); and her great grandchildren, Danny Maxwell, Joshua Maxwell, Aaron Maxwell, Cameron Yeager, Olivia Yeager, Lawton Yeager, Tyler Parker, Lucy Parker, Molly Parker,Asher Waldrep, Oliver Cornelius and Truett Cornelius. She is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Flat Rock Methodist Church, 1508 County Road 933, Crane Hill, AL 35053, US, on May 15, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12 p.m. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow, at 12 p.m.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Flat Rock Methodist Church Cemetery.
